Aelyron
Vane, not in vain.
Materials: Found Aerospace Artefact, Precision-machined Stainless Steel, Polished African
Black Wood
Dimensions: 215×65×70mm
Weight: 0.5kg
Designed in 2025
Limited edition of 8, Series: 01 / 08
A jet engine intake guide vane remains unmodified. Through the original apertures at one end, a cantilevered assembly of African blackwood and stainless steel is introduced—the new structure is made possible while the vane itself stays intact.
A stainless steel cantilever extends beneath the blade, anchoring it to a machined stainless steel pylon and a dense African blackwood base. The alignment of high-tech alloy and timber frames the vane as a quiet presence.
A martensitic stainless steel cradle sits upon the vane's natural curve. Its stability comes from two neodymium magnets hidden inside the steel pylon. Magnetic flux passes through the blade, drawing the cradle in place without mechanical fasteners.
